My how the time does fly
I've been posting over on my homeschooling blog more frequently, to try to keep up with all the child antics, but that doesn't leave me a lot of time to post here or at LJ.
Jude seems to be improving his screaming phase. He really really needs to get some words, but he's happier than he was for the last couple of weeks at least. His newest thing is to grab my hand and shove it in the direction he wants me to take him or toward whatever thing he wants to hold. It's cute.
Tom has been out of work for a few days which is bad for finances. I've got a whopping utility bill to pay so hopefully the money he is owed for the last work he did will come today. He got a job with a rental agency but they're not paying much. After taxes it's about half what he makes on his own and he's depressed about that, but it's something at least. I really want to spend some time helping him get the flooring business up and running. Does anyone have a good link or skill at making business cards?
The kids are good. I'm trying to plan another rock climbing class (don't ask me why, because it's not like we don't have enough to do), but they love it.
Right now our schedule is:
Monday, gymnastics 6:30 to 8:30
Tuesdsy, waldorf from 1 to 5
Wednesday, homeschool camp from 9 to 2, gymnastics 4:30-8:30
Thursday, nothing (but I work in the evening)
Friday, gymnastics 4:30-6:30
Saturday, gymnastics 9-12:30
We're also doing a psuedo 4H group every other Friday (David has the girls on Fridays, so sometimes I go and sometimes I don't). Emma is starting a girls writing group next week that is every other Thursday through December. She also is a mother's helper for 2 families for about 4-5 hours a week.
We also try to squeeze in a playdate with the girls' best friends once a week. That's stayed pretty consistent thank goodness.
I'm sticking pretty well with our schedule as well. I've been committed to doing chores (all of us have chores) and personal hygiene stuff from 9 to 11 and then doing homeschooling activities for at least 2 hours after that. We've stuck to that for a month and it's making our days much more organized and manageable. Plus I don't feel like I'm trying to sneak in cleaning and laundry all the time. Whatever I get done, I get done. Otherwise I have to focus on the kids. It's making me much more organized!
This weekend we're visiting our friend Bernie in Naples. I can't wait. I need my woods fix.
Tom and I had a lovely weekend too. The girls were with David, so we went to the Public Market Saturday morning and got fresh produce and meat. It was so much fun! I can't believe I haven't been there before. One of the great things about being in a city!
Then we did nothing the rest of the day ;). Then we went to a party Saturday night and I wore my new sexy top and new boots and David babysat Jude. It went great! We were only about a block away, and he had the girls as well so everyone had fun. It is a little strange, I grant you that, but I'd rather have Jude with someone he adores than give in to my sense of weirdness and have him stay with someone he doesn't like as much.
Sunday we went to the LCG picnic and then came home and did yard work and such. FINALLY got the damn pool cleaned up and put away. It still has an air leak on the top. We've tried everything we can think of to find it, does anyone have better suggestions than putting soap on it and looking for air bubbles?
OK, enough rambling...Jude needs bkfast!

You can also check out Microsoft's business card templates at http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/results.aspx?Scope=TC&Query=business+cards+word&Origin=EC010331121033
(Sorry...I don't know if that really long URL works or not. I printed my own when I was out of work. You can get good card stock at any of the office supply stores. This way you only have to print a sheet at a time and can make modifications as you please.
Good Luck.
